Our office was contacted via phone regarding advertisements services. We had previously received a mail out from Yellow Pages (United) regarding services as well. We had agreed to receive advertisement services from Yellow Pages (United) already. When we received a call from Yellow Pages (Premium), we were asked to authorize that a billing invoice be sent to our office for advertisement services. We authorized this as we had already agreed to receive services from Yellow Pages (United). Upon further investigation, Yellow Pages (Premium) is a totally different entity from Yellow Pages United although they presented themselves as the "Yellow Pages". Now they continue to call our office stating we owe them money for a service that we did not authorize with them. We did indeed authorize Yellow Pages United for services, but not Yellow Pages Premium. After signing up for Yellow Pages United, we were approached by both YP Connects and Yellow Pages Premium, both of whom presented themselves as the same entity as Yellow Pages United. We received a fax from Yellow Pages Premium stating that if we paid the invoice within a certain amount of time, they would reduce the fee from $569.99 to $498.00. We mailed them a check in the amount of $498.00 as we believed we were paying for the initial service from Yellow Pages United. We have left messages for a refund but have not heard back. Avoid all of them at all costs!!!! Do not authorize any services for any of these "entities". If you receive a call from them or mail, disconnect the call and shred the mail!

They call and say that your listing on their website is expiring for the year, even though you did not sign up to be on their site.

If you ask to cancel the listing, they say they are going to charge you for the year of service that you didn’t sign up for.

If you say yes to the cancellation, they have your voice saying yes to the charge and they send the invoice. A legitimate business does not operate this way.

This company identified itself as Yellow Pages asking if i wanted to renew our listing. I’m not the only one in the company so I asked if they could prove we’d actually singed up for a listing with them. Digging in a little they mentioned that it was in fact Yellow Pages Premium. They gave me the run around and said they’d send proof with the bill for the outstanding balance. They were asked for around $500 to pay for the prior year of advertising that is NOT legit. I asked them to cancel any account because i didn’t think we signed up for anything and they offered to cancel it and apply their "current" discount to the $500 even though I was cancelling. When they started asking me for billing address I had figured out that they were phishing and would use the fact that i did not want to renew as acceptance of the ‘prior year balance’. We did not solicit any advertising from them and I will not be paying a dime. Beware!

We have been receiving phone calls claiming we have an account with this company, for the past year and half. The company name changes as well as the amount they claim we owe. They are very adamant that we pay over the phone with a credit card or check. We have attempted to cancel, which is also a part of this scam. They go through a verification process on the phone and record it, they do not cancel (even though we didn’t agree to a service in the first place) Next time they call they will play the recording from your "cancelation" and claim it is the approval for the services their attempting to charge you for. We have spoke to some very aggressive and rude salespeople bordering on harassment, they call us frequently, sometimes twice in the same day.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

I continue to get calls from a yellow pages company claiming I owe them for services rendered. Although, I have no account with this type of company. The representative (Ian?) that claims he is with collections has called several different occasions. Many times they have threatened to send us to collections and/or take legal actions. They are harassing us.
