I was looking for a place to rent on craigslist. I replied to verify if place was still available. I was sent a email telling me it was. I have attached copy of the email.

I went on to Craigslist today 4/18/17, in hopes of finding a 2BR apt so I came across an ad that has now been removed stating that a 2BR 2Bath apt was available for $760/mo located in Middle River, MD. I sent an email inquiring about the apt so they emailed me back stating to go onto the website(www.newplaceforrent.com) to apply and there will be a $49 deposit that is refundable. They further stated that it will take them anywhere between 3-6 hours to review the application and they will make a decision. I went through paypal and paid $49 and immediately after I received a text message from (720) 507-5402 stating that I had successfully completed the application and to logon to the website. I was unable to logon, no one responded back to my text messages or emails so I immediately knew I had been scammed so I called my bank, disputed the transaction as well as contacted paypal. I received a final email from them stating that my application was denied, without an explanation. I am coming forward because I don’t want anyone else to go through this.
