Type of a scam Employment

I was contacted through email about a work-from-home job offer from Atos-Syntel. The "interview" was next conducted over good hangouts. After providing a mailing address, I later received a $4,900 check in the mail for supposed employment supplies (business name on the check was Universal Drywall, LLC, not the same business of the job offer). I took it to the bank and they said it was a false check.
