Type of a scam Tax Collection

A voice mail message was left stating that if I didn’t respond immediately, legal action would be taken against me. I called that number and spoke to a man who said that I hadn’t paid the proper amount of federal tax. I asked him if he was with the IRS. He said that he was with the Treasury Dept. I realized that it was a scam and told him so. He then hung up on me.

Type of a scam Tax Collection

On 3/9/2016 received phone call from a female with accent stating she was from IRS and it was urgent that "you" call the IRS to resolve a tax collection debt. She called from 800-252-3563 and said to call 509-537-0491 to resolve the matter. We never called.

On 3/23/2016 received a phone call from a male, named David, last name unknown. This male stated the he was calling from the Treasury Department regarding a collection debt. The call came from 857-444-0815. I did not respond.

Phone voicemail from David Grey 862-800-0234 threatening grand jury investigation re Treasury Dept. He had a foreign accent. Said it was "urgent". I ignored it.
