Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Wanted person to cash fraudulent check, go to Walmart, buy gift cards totaling 760 dollars. Scratch numbers off back, take pictures of them and send them to Tony. If asked by Walmart what they are for, person is to say that they are for loved ones. Part two: go to second Walmart and repeat the purchase of the cards and send the pictures of backs of cards to 646.971.0128.
Oh, buy 20 dollars of items for himself.
Also, get a cashiers check drawn from my friends checking account and make it payable to the American Heart Association. And email them the copy of my friends cashier check. Meanwhile, they have 1520.00 in cards to use as they choose and a copy of my friends checking account.
Horrible scam and needless to say, they received nothing. Take them down! Incorrigible!
