The Akademia Music Awards (www.theakademia.com) charges musicians $9.95 per song or $19.95 per album to submit their music to them to be considered for winning an award for Best (fill in the blank with your genre) for the month for your song or album. They then promise to spend up to $10,000 on promoting your song or album if you win in your category (almost everybody wins). They even go so far as to have fake online radio stations in large markets all over the globe play your music on their stations. Then they ask you to participate in paying for "third-party costs" and become an Artist Member for $49.95 a month for 12 months, and they promise a six-tiered promotion package. Then if you want the actual award, you have to pay $110.00 for it. It’s a plaque they have made for you after you order it.

I was named the Winner twice in group 4.

There are probably about 50 winners on each of those pages, or close to 500 total. Multiply that by $700 and they are scamming up to $350,000 each month.
