I received a call from someone claiming to be from a company that supplies medical orthopedic devices for those with Medicare specifically a back brace to help with my lower back pain. They claimed to be representatives of the same company that advertises on television. They gave me information on my own health knowing that I have lower back pain and have been treated for it in the past so in some sense they have access to my records. They also knew my address.

I asked who they were and they gave me the name Temple Medical Medicade which made a red flag go up. They also sounded like East Indians though the second person I spoke to who was supposed to be a device specialist gave an American sounding name of Kylie Adams. She asked for my Medicare number at which point I asked who they were and if they had my records they should have it. They told me it was to verify it and I told them I would call them back. They gave me the phone number 888-678-6719 which when you call it is disconnected. The number they called from goes unanswered though you do get a voicemail saying "The person you are calling is not available now. Please leave a message." I figure this is a scam.
