Type of a scam Tech Support

– phoned me said they see malware and malicious activity on my system

– said they were Microsoft support service provider

– said they needed to remote access to my computer to show me issues with software they installed

– I agreed

– they took control of my desktop, erased backup history, installed startup script with admin privilege and set private password

– I said remove software give back control

– when the did I could not get startup to work without using admin password

– they had me at this point want $150 for 2 yr support, then discount to $50, I agree and gave credit card info

– 2 hours later they were still trying to install and clean desktop so I shut it down

– desktop now turned off,

– got cc company to cancel charges

– am now having expert either clean desktop or I will replace

– also am now contacting all email, bank, cc, credit bureau, etc.
