My Story
HERE’S SUSHI….and she is about as delicious as a platter of Sashimi! This absolutely adorable, tri colored w/ black mask, 14 lb, Havanese/Lhasa Apso mix, is only 10 months old (DOB 10/2024) and was being dumped in the East Valley Shelter. The owner said he was going to be evicted so he could no longer keep her — thank doG a seasoned foster was at the entrance who intercepted her. Intact, not fully vaccinated and needing a grooming, there was no way she was going into the shelter! Now spayed and UTD on vaccinations.
Sushi is super social, friendly with everyone and everything…loves playing with toys and other dogs, giving kisses and happily cuddling with her humans! Even though she is still a puppy, she sleeps through the night and is mostly quiet — though she does bark at bigger dogs on walks. That’s her job after all…protecting her humans. Foster is working on this and Sushi is responding. Very smart, wants to please!
Sushi is on a new adventure to find the ideal home, one where there is another playful dog, someone who works from home or is home and active enough to work with a puppy! Puppies have a lot of energy and when you have these breeds, they need to know who the boss is and respect you! It’s apparent the former owner didn’t spend much time with her, as she was still learning where the bathroom is — and now she knows! That being said, we never guarantee! She hasn’t been cat tested, but she would be likely be great with kids!
If Sushi sounds like a pup you could love for life…let us know! Not a good match for a mature home as she is like the energizer bunny…but one with children over 8 yrs old might just be the ticket.
