Type of a scam Online Purchase

Stspet Carrier company was paid to ship a puppy, even have a tracking number. When I checked the status of the tracking, it showed the shipment is on hold because shipping insurance needs to be paid (by the buyer). When I called the phone number on the web site, the person who answered the phone (with a heavy accent) said $1,815 shipping insurance fee needs to be paid for them to ship the pet. Then they will refund $1,500 when the pet is delivered.

That has SCAM written all over it. I said I’m not paying that outrageous insurance fee. Why didn’t they settle that with the seller when he was there to arrange shipment? They said if I don’t pay the shipping insurance fee, they are not going to give the pet back to the owner. They will give it to a shelter. I don’t know of any legitimate business would do that. I didn’t pay the shipping insurance think the seller is in cahoot with this shipping company.

Long story short, my little girl saved for 5 years to buy a puppy and we got scammed instead. It’s heartbreaking to see her crying her eyes out. No dog and no money.
