Type of a scam Credit Cards

The card is completed with my name, business name along with an account number. When going online, you are instructed to,"Activate."

It is a Platinum Card. RED FLAGs: No return address, No city of reference, and no interest rates posted on the one-page letter or on website. I think if you give them your information, they could very possibly open accounts in your name. Additionally, there is no state of reference, etc. There is absolutely no trail.

Type of a scam Credit Cards

Received a business platinum credit card with our company name and an offer of a line of credit up to 250,000. Was told to report this type of activity.

Type of a scam Credit Cards

A credit card with my company’s name was mailed to one of our business locations (in this case, a Warehouse facility) with instructions to activate the card – credit limit $250,000. This was an unsolicited offer. There was an actual credit card in the envelope.

It was lucky that an honest employee intercepted the letter/card, and not someone that would have activated it and used it.

When I called the phone number on the correspondence, the representative said that it could only be activated by the business owner. Anyone could have said they were the owner and the card would have been activated. Forget that we are a subsidiary of a public company – this would have amounted to identity theft.
