Secret Shoppers send out fake assignments targeting different companies my company was ***. As a *** mystery shopper, my job was to go in and evaluate *** money gram services and customer service checkout process and report what I observe and send the report to the following emails addresses [email protected] and [email protected] They will send my assignment through priority mail express using USPS and inside the envelope is a cashier’s check which is counterfeit for a certain amount my amount was $998 to complete my first assignment and then the next week they sent me four more counterfeit checks out for the amount of $1250 each, along with another assignment for ***. I went to my bank and inquired about my balance in my savings account and they stated to me that the cashier’s check that I cashed last Friday 6/22/18 was counterfeit so they took $998 plus a $15 fee from my account and the check was returned on 6/26/18. After my bank made me aware of this issue I did not deposit or cash those four cashier’s check for $1250 each nor did I complete the second assignment for ***. I went to my local police department and file a police report. Now, I am contacting all the appropriate people to inform them of the counterfeit cashier’s check scam including the bank on the cashier’s check which is US Bank.
