Type of a scam Credit Cards

I am unable to attach a copy, but I received a letter from ***  saying I had applied for a credit card with *** *** * ***. It was forwarded to me from my previous address. I did not apply for this card or any others. The letter states that I was turned down for the card for a bunch of bogus reasons that would not apply to me even if I did apply for this card. The letter also states that my credit score is 429 which is also totally bogus. I have very good credit with a score of over 700.

I feel this letter is an attempt to get me to contact them and give them all of my personal information. Even to freeze my credit on their website requires my social security number and driver’s license. Since I’ve never heard of them and all info on their letter is bogus, I am not going to supply them with info. I’ve read very negative things about this company. Please investigate and shut them down.
