Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I sell items on selling apps and i was contacted on this app by this person, Ryan Lojas, about buying one of my items. they said they would rather email me b.c they didn’t use the app that often. So they said that they wanted to send me a check to buy my item but would need me to cash it and send the rest to their "mover" through money gram b.c they were in the process of moving and needed the item for a wedding. & after i send it to them, they will come to my house to pick it up. Well i knew this was a scam so i gave them my address and they send me a priority express letter with just a Wells Fargo check for $1400. Nothing else. I did not cash it and I still have the emails to back up my story. After i told them i knew it was a scam they’ve never said anything ever since.
