My doctor ordered a lift chair for me. My insurance company contacted RTA. RTA website shows lift chairs that start at $600, their representative stated they start at $1000 for my insurance company. I challenged the representative and she stated that the business hasn’t updated their website in 5 years and the pricing is wrong. I told her that is bite and switch and it is against the law. She just repeated the website hasn’t been updated in 5 years. I informed her I will let my insurance company known of this fraud. I did not continue with my order. How dare business companies escalate their prices because an insurance company will pay part of the fee.
