Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Email received stating that an interior designer is needed to stage new home. Client says she’s deaf but provided her brother’s phone number. Client’s email was very detailed about personal information, much more than a client would normally share. She provided a street and zip code but would not supply house number when asked. She send a floor plan for 3700 square foot Mediterranean house with side entry garage. In Googling the street, no such home can be found of that size or layout. I continued to correspond to her to see what more information I could get from her. She said her financial officer is sending a certified check to cover 8 hours of our services and to cover any extra hours the movers will need past the one day of moving services. She is prompting me to deposit the check within 24-48 hours of receiving it so it can be cleared quickly. I’m suspicious that depositing this check will give her access to my account.
