Type of a scam Rental

On Feb 23, I rent a car from Right Cars in Fort Lauderdale. When I had the car, I made some scratches on it. When I returned the car, the car rental company charged me $2000 as a deposit to fix the car. They told me that the $2000 is a deposit, once they fix the car, they will email me the receipt of fixing the car and refund me the difference. They also said that this is a minor problem, it will only take about $500, and then they will email me the receipt and refund me $1500.

But until now, they just took my $2000 but did not fix the car at all. When I asked them to email me the receipt of fixing the car, they did not answer me. And then I disputed this transaction from Bank of America. But BOA denied my claim. The car rental company only provided the $2000 receipt which I signed as a proof. But they did not provide the receipt of fixing the car.
