Type of a scam Employment

I had been applying to jobs through Indeed.com. I had received several emails from legitimate job offers already, so I was not surprised to get this one. The email came off as a potential employer offering me work as a Personal Assistant. He said he was a businessman in the local area. He said he would have a task for me to do, and I would receive the details by mail. I thought it was a bit odd but went ahead with it. I received a package in the mail that was simply a check. The check was from RW Beckett Corp., which is a heating and a/c company in the U.S. The check was for $3780. I was instructed via email and text to transfer the money minus $600 for my pay. I was told to use Zelle, and then to go directly to Chase Bank to deposit the rest in an account. I was given account details and promptly completed my task. A day later their check bounced! I was then overdrawn for over $3000 dollars and subsequently had to pay that amount to keep my account, as there was nothing the bank could do. The whole thing cost me the total $3780. Watch out for this one!
