Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was texted about being a secret shopper. I work for the company Shipt Shoppers and thought it was from them to secret shop at Whole Foods. They then sent me a "cashier’s check" for $2950 and wanted me to buy $2500 in Nike gift cards and I can keep the $450. The name on the check as Remitter is James Schwantes and it is through Dairy State Bank check # 240107 dated June 15, 2020. The signature looks like Erica Stomberg. The check looks quite real but I know that this must be a scam.
