Type of a scam Employment

I am an actor and was recently approached online by Raw-Films. They were offering a role in a commercial for a start-up tech company. At first it seemed legitimate and they were just asking for my acting materials. But the next email offered me the role with at least $*** in pay (a VERY uncommon offer in the acting business).

I had a detailed look at their website, and it appears all of the content has been faked to make it seem like a real film company. If you actually try to watch any of the videos, you get a standard "placeholder" video (perhaps from SquareSpace or Wix).

I asked the person who sent me the email to chat over the phone before I agreed to the project and have yet to hear anything back.

I can’t be sure what they seek to gain, but I believe they’re looking to gain actor’s likeness so that they are required payment if that actor reaches any level of payment or perhaps so that they can use that actor’s materials to sell to other Productions (without credit). I really don’t want other actors to fall victim to this.
