Type of a scam Other

I posted a snowblower on Offer-Up. I received a message asking if the item was still available and stated that his step dad wants to but it right now, he just wants to confirm the price and condition. His name is Freeman so please contact him now at 413-304-2739 although texting would be better.

I sent a text to that number and was told that he was moving so could not pick it up but would have a moving company pick it up. He would send me a cashiers check for the full amount plus 50 extra for me to pay the moving company. He said he would send me a picture of his drivers license. I did give him my husbands name and our address but that is all that I gave him. I then asked why he could not pay the moving company himself and he stated that his financial mentor who is handling the payment only wats to issue out the payment at once.

I told him I was backing out as I researched and see that this is a scam so I thought that would be the end of it.

I received another text saying that "the payment will be delivered to you today via US Postal Service with the tracking number. Kindly have deposit it in my bank account via your mobile app or use your Bank ATM electronically machine, it takes less that 24 hours for the funds to be available. I will update you with the mover info later. Get back to me immediately you have it deposited. Is nice doing business with you…
