Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

This company advertises that they give loans. I spoke to them and they told me I had to send them $170 in Google Play cards for the insurance of the loan. They told me that if I ever missed a payment, the insurance I paid with the cards would cover it. I sent the cards. Then they told me that I had to send them $800 to process the loan and I had to send them with Walmart Electronic Cards. They told me once I sent the $800 that they would send me $1600 plus the $3000 loan. I couldn’t afford that, so I contacted my bank and they told me this was a scam.
