Type of a scam Employment

I received an email about a job offer as a secret shopper. Since I had recently been looking for employment and had my resume on job site I assumed that is how they got my email.

the email stated that I would have a package delivered to my house, when I emailed back to ask how they received my information, I did not get a response.

I did get a USPS priority package that contained a cashier’s check (fake) and a one page letter of instructions. Both assignments were for Walmart and 2nd assignment stated to send $961.00 via money transfer then send 961.00 via money gram to other "secret shoppers" listed in letter. I knew it was a scam when I was asked to send money. Any thing involving you cashing a check and putting out money is a scam. The instructions also stated to send a copy or you report and receipts to Rick Walter at [email protected] or 585-496-4592.
