Type of a scam Charity

I believe this was part of the current scam where the caller attempts to try to get you to say yes or ok or sure to then tell creditors or merchants that they obtained consent to make a purchase, etc. unfortunately, I think I may have given them one of these responses. Haven’t lost any money yet.
