Type of a scam Employment

I was offered a forward courier work from home job. I never worked from home before so u tried it out. Couple weeks into it. Something told me to do some research and I found that this website is not legit an that there are a lot of scams going on. I didn’t even think twice and emailed the manager told him I could no longer work for the company and to not send me packages. I do not want to be apart of any scam.
