Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Michael Platt was my assigned supervisor and I was suppose to correspong only by means of texting his number 301-792-7754

I got a check for $2950 of which $450 was supposed to be mine and the other was supposed to be used to buy 5 -$300 Wal Mart gift cards from and then buy 5- $200 Wal Mart gift cards scratch off the 16 digit code and the 4 digit pin then take a clear picture of these numbers and then conduct the secret inspection survey of Wal Mart record my findings on their PMA Evaluation Form . I was also asked to identify any similarities in any of these codes which was a red flag , but I needed the money.The check was from The Bryn Mayr Trust Byrn Mayr, PA

However my friend said that she thought this was a scam so I contacted my bank TO STOP PAYMENT. Since my account was negative at the time I did not lose money I m,ight have to pay a bad check charge of $5

I completed an application for a position. They wanted me to inventory items at Wal Mart. They sent me a check for $2950 and told me to go and buy credit cards and send them a picture of the cards I purchase. This is a scam.
