I got a voicemail today from someone claiming to be from Webster County Plaintiff’s Office about my nephew (who’s 36) about some alleged check fraud. They said my husband and I were listed as a reference (he got a call too), they asked that we call back to discuss the case or get our information removed from this case. They left a case number. I called them back, pushed a few numbers, I gave them his case number. They said it was about checks in 2012 in our area. I asked for more information. They wouldn’t give me any. I hung up and found the number for the plaintiff’s office, called them and they said they had nothing outstanding for my nephew.
