Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was web browsing antique locations. A pop up appeared stating that I had accessed a porn site with criminal history (they locked up my PC) and stated that I should call Windows @ 888-756-2505. A male asked me questions about my PC usage and said that he would clean and reset my computer. I asked twice if he were a Windows tech, trying to authenticate his identity. He did say that he was Windows. He accessed (with my stupid help) my files and began the "clean". He switched me to a female named "Jennifer" who was supposed to inform me of the security solutions needed for my PC. She typed up a list which started with a program for $495 and went down from there. I asked a third time if she was with Windows, and she finally said no. I immediately told her to stop the pc clean and uninstall the program and get out of my pc. She finally agreed and deleted the program. I quickly notified Microsoft through email chat what had happened and the tech stepped me through a pc clean and restore. I also purchased a renewal with Macafee. I don’t know whether they got any sensitive info, but they had access to my pc. Their accents were middle eastern, but Piriform.com is an actual website which sells PC cleaning. If they represented that company, their business tactics are illegal! I can’t believe you don’t have any complaints in your files. This is surely a scam which scared me into a distrust attitude toward pc communications.
