On Feb 23, 2018, while I was doing an online survey. Suddenly a popup appeared on the screen of my cell phone. I was confused by its appearance, as I thought it was a reward or free gift after finishing the survey. It was about a free trial of some facial cream, Collagenea. I need to pay the shipping & handling fee which was $Cdn 5.99 plus $Cdn2.95. So I opted for them sending in the free trial product. While I was still on the advertisement order page, another product, Perlelux day and night cream, involving additional $Cdn5.99 appeared on my order, and said it could be sent together. I hesitated for a second but then I accepted. I thought it was a once off payment. I received the products in about 8-10 days later. However, on March 17, 2018 when I checked my credit card account, I discovered that I was charged by the two companies, pearlskinkit.com $179.95, and lushcollagen.com $189.98 on March 15. I realized I have fallen into a scam. Then I went onto their website and read the terms, and realized not only did I just order for one time free trial product, it was an autorefill programme. Nowhere on the advertisement could I see anything about trial period of 10-14 days, nor could I see the notification that I had to call them or email them to cancel the order, or else I would be charged for the full price of the product. And there was automatic refill of their products. Even on their terms, they said customer has automatically opened an account with them which they would charge monthly maintenance fee.

So I called my financial institution right away to report the case. I asked if they can stop paying these companies. The customer service said they cannot, unless the company do not work according to their terms and conditions. They told me to contact the company. So I called 1-646-6938595, but no one answered, only music on the line. I then sent email to their support team, requesting them to stop further charges. And I requested to send them back the products for refunds. On March 19, I received 3 emails from them. They told me to familiarize with their terms and conditiions. They refused to refund me. I sent email to them again on Mar 19, requesting full refund and cancellation of my account under their company. They refused refund, but confirmed that my account being cancelled.

I opted in for a sample of anti-aging cream named Perlelux, supposedly featured on the Dragons Den with Arlene Dickenson. I had a certain amount to pay together my sample. I received it a few short days after. Then today I see almost $400 come out of my account that was supposed to pay for my daycare fees but now I can’t. I spoke to them.on the phone (number above) and they said there’s nothing they can do if we’ve already opened it. They said they said all the terms and conditions were given to me so I asked them to forward me an official receipt of payment or information with them indicating that they will be taking money out of my account. They told me "They are not obliged to send me a copy of my receipt or information because they said they seem to it all to me to my email. I then asked them to forward the email that they sent me then, indicating the amount they said they were going to take out of my account. The rep then sent me a fraudulent email, making it seem it was forwarded, but it clearly was not. I was totally distraught and upset today and totally dismayed. I then got an email from them saying they can issue a partial refund if I agree not to commence an investigation with the bank. I have all of this email trail if needed.
