I received a phone call 6.14/16 from Pembrooke & Associates. They told me I had an overdraft with US Bank for about $500. They told me I needed to pay it, and they could settle for $300. I said no. I need a payment plan. They had my birth date, last 4 digits of my social and my prior address. So I thought they were legit. I gave them my Visa bank card number. They sent me a confirmation email asking for my signature from [email protected]&associates.com.

So this weekend I got multiple phone calls from a place that said I owed money to US Bank and I have never had any dealing with that bank my entire life. So I called US Bank in the off chance that something was legitimate. I explained the whole thing to them and it turned out they had no record of me ever owing them any money. They were even nice enough to take all the info I had so they can use it in the future to help prevent fraud. It’s been a tough week for me as it is and "Carl" as he stated his name was called me on my way home today. Stating that if I didn’t get in touch they would sue me. I called them back and told them the game was up and trying to take advantage of honest veteran was the wrong decision. "Carl" said ‘your mommmas game is over’ and hung up. I then called him back and explained that I had reported him to US Bank and will be reaching out to the ScamPulse.com this week to help others like me from getting taken advantage of. He tried to mask his voice and I said "Carl, your acting skills are sub par so just quit while your ahead!" I simply hung up after that.

This company claims they are called Pembrooke & Associates, they call me from unknown blocked call. When I called back they claim I owe money for a account that I’ve never opened. I asked for a copy of what they claim I owe, they emailed me a copy. The letter does not look legit and does not give me any of my rights. I searched the address they claim they are at ( 3380 la Sierra Ave # 104 riverside, CA 92503) and it’s a UPS store. I emailed them back to say this is a scam and they still persist to call me claiming they emailed me and I have not called them back. Their so called email address is [email protected]

These are thugs and they need to be stopped, I pulled my credit report and confirmed I have no accounts with the credit card they claim I owe. I was dumb enough to confirm my name and last 4 digits of ss. They now know my address and employer.
