On June 9, 2020 I submitted a response to a Craigslist post to lease a private apartment located at 1416 23rd Street, Sacramento, CA 95816. I received a response from Pedro and Doris Williams who claimed to be the landlords on June 10th. After reviewing photographs as well as having a conversation with Pedro I expressed interest in renting the apartment. I further reviewed the lease agreement and after reviewing the lease agreement I eventually signed and submitted the agreement as well as a $900 deposit to the requested account. The lease was authorized through June 22,2020-September 22,2020 with an option to renew.

Initially Pedro and Doris provided 3 account options to make the lease deposit via Zelle, Cash App, and Regions Bank. After having a depositing issue with Cash App I requested to use Venmo in which Pedro agreed and ultimately the transaction went through.

Upon the deposit going through Pedro sent me multiple confirmations via text to my cell phone ***** ******** and we agreed to remain in contact.

In the effort to remain coordinated for the move-in date for June 22nd on June 18, 2020 I contacted Pedro Williams to coordinate the upcoming move. Despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and emails to Doris via Venmo I received no response. After leaving messages on June 20th and June 21st I continued to receive no response to any phone calls, emails or text messages. I have continued to receive no response.

Pedro and Doris Williams have stolen $900 from me.
