My Story
Patches is his name, and sweetness is his game!
This gentle love has been in foster care for over a year now, and he is more than ready for his forever home. Patches is 100% loyal, full of loving kindness, has a gentle nature, is a great snuggler, loves play, and loves to be part of a family.
He is also professionally trained by KC at Canis Integrated dog school.
Patches wants to be with you and right by your side. Whether you’re riding in the car, sitting at your desk, cooking dinner, or watching TV, Patches is with you, patiently, waiting to serve you and to snuggle.
While he lives with other dogs in his foster home and loves them, Patches requires slow intros and an acclimation period with other dogs.
He would adjust well to a single pet family too.
Patches is a big-hearted boy who is healthy, intelligent, and has a sweet personality.
Patches is 2yrs-old, 55 lbs, heartworm negative, vaccinated, neutered, and ready to go home!

**Please do not use the “Introduce Yourself” feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application.
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue’s approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2024 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months – $350.
Dogs over 12 months – $250.
2024 Benefactor Adoption Fee Scale:
Benefactor Puppies under 12 months – $550
Benefactor Dogs over 12 months – $450

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
