Type of a scam Credit Cards

I got several emails from Panda Research dot com, offering various amounts of money for participating in surveys online. Every time I clicked on the survey link, I was taken to a website that had no survey, it was some advertising or other such as count down to profits dot com, that asked for my credit card number. No mention of survey on their linked websites, nor any mention of panda research. I blocked emails from panda research and will not share my credit card information with them, but the websites they link to in their emails seem to have fake offers too, asking for credit card numbers.
