Type of a scam Debt Collections

Today is 23 November. My mother and sister have been contacted multiple times within the past 2 weeks by a company called International Procession Solutions (IPS), PH# 844-279-7423, claiming they were representing another company called OPD Solution for a payday loan previous to 2013.

It was stated by Courtney if I did not pay the arbitration that a court summons would be processed for failure to pay on this loan. It is claimed, OPD Solutions is working this debt outside of the court in order to resolve the debt I currently owed $630. I have not taken out any payday loans and I felt it was fishy when I asked what the company did and the only thing Courtney was able to tell me was they were a Finance Company and nothing further.

When I was trying to gather any other information regarding the company she told me her supervisor was over her shoulder telling her to wrap up the conversation and either I paid or it would be identified that the debt would be resolved in court.

When I was speaking to Courtney, I told her that all the information regarding OPD Solution was pointing toward a scam and the only item she would comment or say is people say what they want on the internet about companies when they don’t want to pay their debt.

Sadly enough I agreed to pay the debt. As soon as I ended the call I contacted my bank to report fraud since I did not know the company or the debt owed.
