A phone call informed me that this company had bought my contract for periodic furnace inspection from Good Neighbor who had installed the furnace. This didn’t surprise as Good Neighbor would make an appointment for an inspection and then not call or show up. I made an appointment for an inspection. Two technicians showed up and opened the furnace door. I was told I needed an immediate replacement as this furnace was not up to code and was a fire hazard. It was not if but when it burned the house down because it was not up to code no insurance company would cover damages. At the time I was 90 years old and living alone. There were two of them and one of me. Now I am 91 and realize I was scammed. Yes I bit and they put in a new furnace that drastically lowered my standard of life. In the deal I lost the humidifier and the permanent filter. This company was fixing on seniors still living in their homes. And I thought I was up on most scams but this really hoodwinked me. Please warn others that they should get a second or third opinion.
