Type of a scam Tech Support

I received a warning on my computer that 7 or 8 things were bad on my computer and that I should not shut off my computer as it would crash and I would never be able to use it again. I was told to call a phone number which turned out to be One Network Support and that they wanted

$400 to fix the problems. I was asked for my credit card number and they wanted access to my computer. Unfortunately I had a neighbor here wanting me to help get him some information on a rental property and I was distracted/ I would never have gone along with this which, after having time to think about it, I was certain it was a scam. I still do not know what they actually did to my computer but I was warned over and over not to shut it off. After they supposedly were through, they told me my computer was not okay and I could go on with whatever I wanted to do. I went to my credit card onlne and sure enough the charge was already shown there. Halfway through the transaction they told me the problem was not my computer after assuring me all along it was, but that it was my network I called AT&T and they did some checking and assured me there was nothing wrong with theiir network and they could find nothing that indicated anything had been wrong with my network. I have filed a complaint with with my credit card company and they are sending me forms to complete to have the charge reversed.

The charge was actually placed on my card by another company who seems to be doing the financial stuff for this company. The company that placed the charge was Nexway out of the midwest. I called them and told them the issue and they said they would refund the charge in 4 or 5 business days. I am waiting to see if that happens.
