Type of a scam Phishing

They call and identify themselves as being with some variation of Microsoft Computer Support (this is the 4th time now I’ve received this). They indicate you’ve subscribed to some service and they want to give you a $299 refund. Of course, that involves them asking for a credit card number verification.

Type of a scam Other

This person calls restricted, the first time was in the afternoon, then the next morning. They leave a message, never staring what company they are affiliated with, only saying they will come by your place of employment or residence that is linked to your Social Security Number… between 3-5 pm to get your signature on some legal papers, and you need an ID. From my research on the web many people are getting these calls and they are saying the same thing on everyone’s voice mail.

Type of a scam Tax Collection

We have received numerous calls from this number 801-410-7837. They leave a voice mail telling us the IRS has filed a lawsuit against us and they are calling to get us to pay the amount the IRS is trying to collect. They always tell us to call the number 402-237-4099, which is a call center. This number is programmed to only accept calls from our home phone number.
