I have received numerous calls from these people. Nothing shows on caller ID. This person identified herself as Sidney. She said that I needed to call her back to discuss my outstanding student loans. She gave me reference #** and told me to call (866) 949-5391. She made it sound urgent. However, I do not now, nor have I ever had a student loan. Furthermore, I have told them to stop calling me. I get one of their calls every month or so.

Received a phone call  Asked for my husband and I told them I was his wife. They proceeded to tell me they had legal papers for him and admitted if he would be home tomorrow to sign for them. Was given the number 888-398-2725 along with a reference number. Called (no business name given when they answered the phone only said hello) and said my husband was being sued for a late hospital bill to the local hospital. The date of service at first ward from 2007 then it changed to 2008 or 2009 they didn’t know. Have me his correct birthday and address we loved at back then but not the address we have been at for the past 6 years. Said his legal papers would be in an envelope.

The call came through with an automated voice message claiming to be a company providing back braces in my local area. When the message is finished it asked if you would like to speak to a representative. Even though I know better and that it was in fact a scam I said yes because I love taking up as much time from these [censored]s as I can to keep them busy and not bother someone else. I ran them in circles for about 10 mins or so while he asked for personal information in regards to my social security number, health care provider, home and billing address, email, and even credit card numbers. I revealed no information and as soon as I asked a question in regards to the company this guy works for he hung up immediately.

This number has repeatedly called my husband and I saying that I have not responded and I have one day to contact them before my file is turned over the the authorities in my jurisdiction. I have returned both calls only to receive a generic answering message that provides no company name and asks me to leave name, number, and file number. These types of calls seem to happen every 6-8months.

Despite being on the do not call registry, we have been contacted 4 times by a company stating we have won a trip to Florida. They start each call with a pause and then say "can you hear me know". Knowing this is a scam we tell the caller(s) both male and females to stop calling our number. What can be done to stop this harassment?
