Type of a scam Online Purchase

We looked at this website because we were interested in purchasing a puppy to add to our family. The website said that they accepted Paypal for the purchase of the puppy. When we emailed to find out more about the puppies, I asked about paying via Paypal. The person said his name was Brian Rush and that his family-owned company didn’t accept Paypal, but accepts Cashapp. I was confused and said that the website listed Paypal as a payment option, but the person insisted that it was not an option. I asked if paying by Zelle was acceptable, and they said yes. They said the puppy was $750 and the shipping fee was $200, and so I’d have to Zelle the amount of $950. He asked for my full name, address, and phone number – which I provided. He then sent a name and phone number to use for the Zelle. The name was NOT Brian Rush, as previously stated, and the phone number had a New York City area code (despite the company website showing that the ‘business’ was located in Snellville, GA. It turns out that the address listed on the website was used for a previous Pet Scam website, as was the website format. I’m glad they didn’t get our money, but really sad about the fact that I can’t get the puppy I wanted.
