Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a phone call from a person who identified herself as an attorney representing Newsworthy Publishing Co. who said I owed them money for publishing my biography in 101 Top Professionals. I never gave them permission to publish this and had no knowledge that they did. They apparently got my biography online from a reputable source that I did do business with. The person on the phone said I could settle with them out of court. I, of course, refused. After checking with the organization that did publish my biography online, I was told they were not in any way affiliated with this publication and did not give permission to reprint my biography. The attorney said her client would be pursuing this matter in court. I know this is not legitimate and hope they do nothing further to pursue this. The attorney indicated there were others that also owed them for publication, so I’m guessing they do this routinely.
