Type of a scam Online Purchase
On-line puppy scam. Consumer saw web site while Googling "Husky Puppies." Saw that pups were 50% off. Consumer called thru phone #218-302-5042 (Duluth, MN), was then contacted back via text. Was told to send $460 via Western Union to an address in Alexandria, VA. Was told that Equal Logistics Delivery (Columbus, OH) would be contacting him, and was told to send an additional $950 for shipping to Neba Divine & Mike Harris (someplace in Cleveland). Phone number of Divine & Davis comes back to Houston, TX. Was told to send an additional $1250 for insurance for the plane trip, which Western Union blocked. consumer was told by Western Union that this company was already being investigated as a scam.
