Type of a scam Tech Support

Pop up screen urged me to call 866-931-9239 to remedy my computer problem. They took control of my computer and wanted to charge $350, which was negotiated down to $250. Supposedly a lifetime support subscription that is transferrable to different computer should I purchase a new one. I did buy a new computer and contacted them to transfer the support to the new computer. They took control of my computer, supposedly fixed bugs and demanded payment. I objected because I supposed to have a lifetime support. It’s a scam.
