I received 3 calls in a row from National Information Center. The representative, Jason Long, said this was an attempt to collect a debt. He said they didn’t want me to be served at my job or home. He said Fifth Third sold my debt to them. He said he would take a settlement payment of $400. He said I was fraudulent because I no longer worked at Greenview. He had my old address and former employer name. He asked for the last 4 digits of my social security number, and i gave it to him. He said I had until 2 o’clock today. He said they don’t get any money for this. They are the mediator. They are backed by the BBB. He asked me for a credit card number, and I said no. He told me to make a payment with a prepay card, Discover, Visa, Mastercard. Then he said their processing center wouldn’t work with me, and I would have to send a Moneygram he said the Moneygram would go to Raa llc. He said to call them back 316-227-1858 and give them the confirmation number.

I received a call from the "National Information Center" saying that I had a complaint filed against me in court. I contacted them to find out who was suing me (Ace Cash Express), and to arrange payment in a few days later, on Monday. The person on the phone (Jacob Hostetler) didn’t give the usual disclaimer about trying to collect a debt, etc, and wrote down my "promise". I called back on Monday, and when talking to the agent, the same thing happened. Very unprofessional, no legal disclaimers, and they emailed me a document over Docu-Sign to verify payment. I was an [censored] and already gave them my credit card number. I called Ace and tracked down my loan to whoever they sold it to, and they confirmed my suspicions that it was a scam, that they don’t file legal complaints against their customers.
