A scammer pretending to be a loan comping under the name money loan urged to get me to buy a 200 Google play card and give them the info for it or as a advance fee doesn’t make any sense I knew it was fishy when I got two different names and story kept changing also kept agreeing to a lower amount

I have been looking for a loan and this company called and stated that they had the ability to get me the loan and the amount that I needed. It would only take a 250’00 security deposit that would be reimbursed in the loan amount. I was to get a Walmart Visa card with 250.00 on it and give it to them. Once that was done there was another fee of 575.00 and then the loan would be disbursed. Now they have another guy calling and stating that he is with the Tax Commission and that in order for them to be able to release the loan to me, I have to pay an additional 799.00 for the taxes and that all of this money will be refunded to me when the loan goes through. They have even given me a reference number for the Moneygram transaction coming from a Henry Moore. The Tax guy even will give you his agent number X121B025

The number that called me was a Florida # 786-319-9345. The individual reported his name as Tomas Elbansos(fake) (could barely understand him, I had to have him spell everything out)and the business phone # 604-383-0207 (fake), insisted I applied for a loan online for $3500 on Sept 21,2017, which I never did nor did my husband. The loan was in my husband’s name, using my phone number and a old address that no longer existed(house torn down). I asked for the first three #’s of social insurance, No I did not give him my sin #. I ripped him a new one and would not let him hang up until I had all the info I wanted. I told him if I wanted a loan I’d call a bank and I was calling the RCMP and reporting it to whoever I could. I called back asking for a supervisor, the person hung up on me, I repeatedly called back only to be hung up on.

I received a call on my cell phone today. Caller said the company name is Money Loan. Stated they are located in Florida but did not give the full address. Their telephone number is 786-701-4003. Caller stated I was approved for a $3,000 loan. He asked how much more I wanted. Caller requests a deposit for the loan of $295. Fee was to make certain I can pay the loan back. Wanted me to wire the money by moneygram. I did not send money. After I spoke with them for a while I figured it was a scam. I wanted to report the call.

After researching loans online a short time later I was contacted via telephone by Money Loan 786-701-4003 claiming that I was approved for a loan, I just needed to Western Union or MoneyGram $200 for a deposit on the loan and then they would send me a check for $3200.00
