I received two robocalls this morning reportedly from MLGW. They were very official sounding and said that my power would be cut off in 30 minutes due to an outstanding balance. My bill is current with MLGW and in fact I got confirmation of that just yesterday. The call said to contact MLGW Billing at this direct number, 1 – 844-581-5824. Due to the way this was wording, I am sure some if not many people will respond.

I was called multiple times today and this past week by a robot call claiming to be MLG&W about to cut off my utilities in 30 minutes if I didn’t call and pay the balance with a credit card at an 877 number.

A cloned cell number 901-508-6039 and 855-855-855-9021 (yes I know that’s too many numbers) has been calling daily for a week claiming to be MLGW and utilities will be shut off in 30-40 minutes because of delinquent bills. “If you have received this call in error press 1.” A real person from India answers. I have asked twice to be taken off their list. Today he said “what list?” When I replied “I pay my bill so take us off your list this is a scam” He hung up.

I received a call from the Fake MLGW stating that I had 30 minutes to pay my utility bill or my business electricity would be cut off… When i asked what was going on and why i didn’t get a notice they cussed me out. I called back but the phone number would not go through. I called MLGW and they did not know what is was talking about.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be from MLG&W stating they would come in 45 minutes to cut off electricity if we did not pay them over the phone.

Received a call to our answering service about utilities going to be disconnected unless we were able to pay balance in cash to stop disconnect. Returned call to a very ligit sounding message with promps .Memphis Light Gas and Water. Almost had me believing them.

I received a call and it had on the caller Id MLGW- with the real phone number, I answered and was told by the associate on the phone that he was calling about a billing issue. He confirmed the name of the business as well as the address. He stated that he was a technician and he needed to speak with the owner or manager about a missed payment and we were to call the phone number 1-844-766-8418 xt 0019 to make a payment. This is a scam we pay our bills automatic.
