Medicare worker to verify medicare

My husband answered a call today from someone who said they worked for Medicare and needed to verify some information. The phone number was 17-252-3374 and showed on caller id as invalid number. He asked my husband to verify his name, address, and age, he also asked who his doctor was. My husband answered yes to all questions and told him who his doctor is. I tried to call this number back and of course it could not be dialed back.
