Type of a scam Debt Collections

I Received a phone call from this number (844) 279-7429 on November 30th around 12 noon. When I answered it was an automated system saying my name and asking that I return their call.

I called the number, Alan answered and began informing me that he is an arbitrator with MCO legal arbitration firm. Alan went on to say that his firm is contacting me to arbitrate and settle the $500 payday loan I owe for taking out a payday loan in July 2013.

I replied that I did not take out a payday loan ever. He then said yes you did. It was deposited to Chase Account ______in July, couldn’t say the date, then read my SS# and the wrong mailing address. I said that is not an address I have ever had, and if this was true I would have been sent information via USPS MAIL. Alan rebutted indicating they have been trying to contact me via email ***@yahoo.com, an account I deleted over 5/6 years ago.

I asked for documentation to be sent to me, he said you’ll receive it once the court processes the complaint from Fox Enterprises. I asked for the firms name address and direct line and he said I am just the arbitrator and trying to resolve this so that you won’t be sued. Alan could not provide any information regarding the name of the company as he indicated that Fox Enterprises operates under many different Pay day loans names and sites. Alan could not provide any paperwork to substantiate the debt, I indicated that I cannot pay a debt I cannot be proven responsible for.

I could hear in the background that other staff were yelling at and threatening the people they were calling using abusive language.

I received a call today around 12:30 PM from the same number with the same automated recording say my name and asking me to return their call. I did not return the call. I would like to know how they obtained my SS# and old account number from Chase Bank?
