We received the Money Order and took it to the bank and deposited it to our account. After discovering the fraud we are contact with our bank.

We were selling two recliners and the selling website is Letgo.com. After contact with potential buyer they sent us a co-called (cashiers check). It must be bogus and am waiting to talk to bank. We did transfer money to the email Zelle account above.

I get a message from the bank and they told me it was counterfit …. So then they closed out my account so the check was fake..

"Mark" initiated contact for the purchase of a bicycle we were selling on an app called OfferUp. He claimed he was located out of state and wanted to purchase it with a cashier’s check and would send a representative to retrieve it. It took us a little while to determine it was a scam because his Indian accent was so thick that we thought it was just a communication challenge, but it literally played out exactly the way these scams are described on the internet. It was as though he was reading from a script. Thankfully we recognized the scam in time and ended communication without loss.

I was selling puppies and received a text from Mark saying he was interested and that he would send me a cashiers check for the puppy along with money for a shipper. I was skeptical but gave him my address and name and he mailed me the check which I am enclosing a copy. I called the bank on the check and they told me funds were not available. At this point I knew it was a fake so I texted him back and told him his check was a fake and not to contact me again. He proceeded to text me back with the word "fool".

I received a call from 1-323-524-0755 a gentleman with a foreign accent claiming to be "Mark" said that I was having terrible problems with my Microsoft/windows computer. I do not have such a computer I have Apple, and I run Apple OS.

I told him I did not have Windows on my computer, that I’d be reporting the phone number to ScamPulse.com and the call was disconnected.
