I rented via internet an apartment in New York Manhattan on www.manhattanhomestay.net .They asked me a prepayment including a deposit for a total of $1340, giving me the bank details for the transfer. Then they sent me a receipt. They should have given me a code for the access to the apartment, but the day before they informed me that a crime has happened there during the night before and unfortunely the apartment was not available anymore. They promised me a refund f money but never happened. I had to find an hotel.

The apartment does not actually exists. They have stolen the images from other houses for renting in NY. . The Police in Manhattan has not helped me. The police in Italy cannot help me. I am very frustrated and want my money back. I discovered that the owner shoud live in Panama and the website is hosted in Malaysia. The email address [email protected] comes from a city near Palo Alto in USA. Their bank details refer to an account at the Bank of America of Independence in the name of Keith Nolen. If you need I can provide you more detals. I know that it is possible to block their website. Please help me to be refunded!…. Please note: I discovered (after) that this scam alarm website is only for USA or Canada people. I indicated the postal code of the hotel where I stayed from 5th to 11th of MArch, in New York, but I am italian from Milan. I think it is important, in any case, to indicate you this scam.
