Type of a scam Tech Support

Was trying to use computer and could not get into any programs. Message came upon computer for help, and they called us. Did not remember password. Company called on phone asking if we are having problems with our computer. They told us that we had been hacked and we need to purchase security that we will sell you security $200.00 for 1 year; and then for 2 years it is 240.00 and 3 years it is $450.00 Tell them we did not want security. They asked us if we could get into any other programs such as banking, etc. We told them no. Can’t get into our computer at all.
